Happened across this and thought it was interesting enough to share. As the title says, it was the first full length film done in Flash, and was entirely animated by one man, Phil Nibbelink, who previously worked as the director for Fievel goes West, and We’re Back! A Dinosaur’s story, as well as working as Directing Animator on Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

With a pedigree like that, you’d think this would be pretty kick ass, but it was largely ignored upon release, and got mostly panned by the few who did watch it. It apparently has a bit of a cult following now, but otherwise is fairly obscure.

It’s an interesting piece of animation history, though I don’t think I’ll be joining the cult. While it’s an incredible feat of animation for one person to have done, it’s otherwise pretty mediocre, and his other two films, also animated solely by him, unfortunately suffer the same fate (though the animation quality improves).
