I cant relate to the above poster at all. Streaming has been flawless to me. I dont notice the delay at all and the image looks great. I am using a Wifi 6 router.
I would never want a cabled headset or one with base stations. No need whatsoever after you get a headrest with extra battery.
Im usually quite picky when it comes to image quality and response times and i was impressed. My pc is a floor above me and i was thinking the same thing as you.
Maybe its because i use virtual desktop instead of oculus link
I used the cheapest wifi AP recommended by Virtual Desktop, the SFT1200, so your wireless setup is probably better than mine. I’m also using a low end GPU, so frametimes are not always the best. The biggest thing was honestly the Meta bullshit:
Need to install a phone app and create an account to use the headset
Refuses to auto-connect to a wifi network it knows has no internet
Having to have SMS 2fa for a “developer” account just to load software over ADB

I guess I’ll just have to get one from somewhere with a good returns policy.
I would prefer it without any cables, but I’d take it over a bad picture, or from a platform like Oculus.
