The Israeli prime minister is facing corruption charges that could see him sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is facing multiple corruption charges in Israeli courts, is due to testify on Tuesday for the first time in his trial.
He is up against three separate cases of corruption filed in 2019: Case 1000, Case 2000, and Case 4000, which include allegations of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.
Israel’s top court rejected on November 13 a request for a 10-week delay in his testimony hearing, saying he had had five months to prepare.
His team has claimed the prime minister was unable to prepare due to the time pressures of managing Israel’s wars.
Which probably has a lot to do with Israel claiming Syrian land to create a “demilitarized zone” full of Israeli military…
Rationally it’s the same as another invasion, because the only way Bibi can hold onto power, is to keep starting invasions of other countries.
I suspect that’s also why the Iron Dome and other systems weren’t working during the October 7 Hamas attack. While Hamas is primarily responsible for that outbreak of violence, it seems someone on the inside helped, so Bibi has justification to escalate the situation even more. I think it’s realistic this goes all the way up, as Israel is famous for their intelligence services.
