Everything I’ve seen of Nwaneri and MLS suggests that they’re not only ready for top level football, but on course to become elite players.
What a fucking pass.
Lewis-Skelly, Jesus, Saka, all three doing very well on that.
Jesus has been playing well so far. Unfortunate for 2/3 of his shots
That assist was fucking stellar, to be fair, he deserves a goal today already just off of that.
No he hasn’t. He’s been shite. Hasn’t been an outlet up front and when given two clear chances of goal, he squandered both.
I feel like that’s a bit harsh. We’ve had plenty of players who have missed several shots before they net one. Jesus hasn’t been on par for a while, but he’s out there trying and the keeper has made two good saves.
A striker that is doing a cosplay of Hleb is useless.
FTR, I thought Hleb was class, but his stats were nowhere near good enough and that was reflected by our trophy tally.
Love this automated offsides. It would have been really interesting to work on the implementation of it. But more importantly, the VAR check was over in like 10 seconds.
OUR BIG FUCKING GERMAN
Jorginho’s a fucking air traffic controller out there
He’s a starmannnnnnn
I know it was partly their mistake but that’s a great finish and good composure to take that opportunity nonetheless.
After watching three of their mistakes go unpunished, not unreasonable to celebrate
there’s not a single goal where it’s unreasonable to celebrate tbh. I’m celebrating it even if it’s the biggest fucking fumbled own goal ever caused by an unnoticed handball by the opposition.
What if, let’s say, Lichtenstein score an own goal on themselves via penalty kick that hits the crossbar and goes all the way back into their own net? Surely there has to be a line where you don’t celebrate just out of sympathy.
nah, fuck yes, Liechtenstein beat Hong Kong last time out. They can go kick rocks.
(jokes aside, I don’t think it’s unreasonable, it’s just kinda funny.
I’m glad Jesus is at least not exiting the pitch like a wounded animal. I’d really like him to find at least some of his former spark.
Same. I feel like it might be time to part, but it would be nice for him to still contribute. That one world cup man…
Fixture congestion is a plague on the sport. I really feel that the World Cup/continental competitions need to move to an Olympics-style policy of only allowing amateur athletes/players. They’d never agree to it, of course, but it’s the only thing in my mind that would fix the problem.
Agreed… so much gets thrown about player welfare and then FIFA introduces a new competition to rival UEFA. Why? Money. Was it needed? No.
It’s only money. Of course, if Infantino and co. weren’t greedy fucks, they’d see that prioritizing players’ welfare would pay dividends down the line as teams would play more attacking and energetic football -> better product -> more TV revenue, but they instead see the pool of players as an infinite resource that they can draw upon to synthesize money. Fuck, now I’m mad.
Arsenal have a 2 point lead and are 5th in the CL table. Plenty of time to be mad another time.
Enjoy the moment now :)
These are some great looks we’re getting but one thing just goes wrong in each of the passages of play. So fucking frustrating.
Tell me about it, it’s killing me xD
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE THESE FOULS YOU’RE GIVING, REF? When Martin is mad you know you’re doing a shit job
My stream stuttered and just saw the replay. That’s farcial
You know it’s bad when they don’t show the “foul” as a replay. They instead showed Minamino dithering on the edge of the box for 10 seconds.
Their diving is paying dividends now.
Has been all game so far. Feels like we’re being reffed a little differently
It’s giving PL referee
I mean fuck, if they keep giving us these terrible backpasses I’ll take them, but we should be 2 or 3 up right now.
What in the actual fuck is going on today. That’s the third time.
MLS, WHEW
Damnit, that was a good save. Jesus coulda used that goal. Kinda feeling like Havertz before that penalty to get things going now.
Looked better since the subs came on
