Does Australia allow super PAC type organisations?
Its all good to cap donations but if you can donate to an entity that’s not the party who will run ads and campaign for the party, then it doesn’t really matter that you capped party donations.

It is kind of insane that most of the examples are of 60 year olds challenging the 75 year olds.
One of the young ones is in their 50s, and one example is of an early 70s challenging a later 70s.
Only one in the whole lot I would think of as “young” (35).
I believe the current state is:
So you may see comments or posts from Mastodon users who have posted to Lemmy, but if you want to follow Mastodon users you’ll need a Mastodon account.
There is a middle ground. Mbin allows you to participate on both Lemmy and Mastodon.
Maybe one day I’ll have time again!
I had an Index, and after many years one of my lighthouses died (was actually from the Vive I had before that). But I wasn’t playing it enough to justify buying a new one.
Now the kids are getting older I might get back into it at some point.
I don’t have mine anymore :(
Very interesting! I’m in New Zealand, but the dishwashers are largely global brands like Miele, Bosch, Samsung, LG, etc.
There is no reason they couldn’t be connected to the hot tap. It’s normally connected next to the sink. I have just never seen it done!
If Reddit actually implements this, then I think that’s a sign reddit sees it as a real threat. All the more reason to do it.
That part isn’t on the original cover. Is this a real foldout from a recent MAD issue that is an updated version of the 1974 cover?
Hmm the original doesn’t have that bit in the bottom right about the original concept. Is this a real MAD foldout based on an old cover but updated for the current hot topic?
I don’t think this is real. If you search up the issue number you’ll see the real version. It’s also from 1974.
We don’t lie, and talk about “who is going to be Santa this year”. Treat it like a game. I don’t think the youngest quite understands and we don’t purposely ruin it, but that the adults are Santa is openly talked about.
Recently one of my kid’s friends got an elf on the shelf, and my kid asked what it was. I think that if other parents lie to their kids that’s for them to sort out, we can’t be expected to lie to our kids to keep up another lie. So I straight out told them what it was and that some parents use it to try to trick their kids into being good. They replied “can I have one?”
I think there is still value in doing it.
Reddit is still the best place for info, and adding site:reddit.com is likely to get you the best results for many different things, even with the risk of astroturfing. While this is true, reddit will stay top ranked.
If Reddit stops being a useful source because all the older content was removed, then it’s short term annoying for everyone but longer term a new solution will arise and Reddit won’t have this special status anymore.
My dishwasher (and every dishwasher I’ve had or seen) is not even connected to the hot water.
Does it have a dry cycle still? If you are putting in an element you might as well heat the water with it.
Ooh I really liked this game, I played it in VR. I remember thinking they did great job with the difficulty curve.
I have never seen a dishwasher that doesn’t heat its own water, and I have seen many. Is that a thing?
They have an element for the dry cycle and often want water hotter than they will get from the tap so the ones I’ve seen heat their own water. Running the hot tap first wouldn’t help in that case.
It’s a philosophical argument, not directions for how to live your life!
I think it works better for giving others the benefit of the doubt instead of blaming people who have made poor decisions for not “pulling themselves up by their bootstraps”. But you definitely should not try it in reverse, “I’m gonna go get addicted to drugs because it’s not my fault” 🫤
Oh I missed you had screen shotted your own comment. Not sure why someone downvoted you.
Rats are huge compared to mice, I had assumed you meant a mouse.
Also I wouldn’t really consider a mouse bleeding out it’s mouth “exploding”. I had assumed pieces were splattered around. Just a difference in interpreting words.
If you think back a step, think about why some people are the way they are. Is it because of their genes? Because of a teacher or role model they had growing up? Because of the parenting methods or advice they got from those who raised them?
People are who they’ve because of a number of factors that at their heart are all random.
Yeah good thought. Could you make a parent group that donates their donations to 100 other groups to get around it, or does Canada have something that protects against that sort of manipulation?
