Exactly. For now, it’s main focus is to only move configs to the dotsdir (since stow throws a conflict when there’s already something in place), let stow create the symlink and push it to git.
on a remote mashine, however, you still need to handle conflicts yourself. but it’s also mostly intended for fresh installations, or where you don’t mind just rm -rf the existing config

I have it installed, but hadn’t had the chance totry it productively.
For me, LunarVim feels more like NVChad, with it’s own set of options to control neovim… I’m honestly not a huge fan of this approach.

I prefer the “lazy” way using plugin files, with the lazy notation, since it feels more agnostic.
Lol… I also spent the last week in customizing, going throuh almost all distros, until I found LazyVim to be the most vanilla one, with sane defaults and a great documentation.

Sure! But, in this case Lemmy is literally a federated copypasta of Reddit, like Madtodon is of X.
Therefore, I think Lemmy is already a few steps ahead, due to the existing familiarity how communities/subs are supposed to be used.
So it’s not we’re starting from scratch… It’s just getting rid of the annoyances of Reddit.
Take Mastodon/BlueSky as an example. People are already familiar withbthe concept of how to use it.
I really do enjoy it. It’s also a lot of fun to tweak it to my likings and needs.
