Your post is an excuse to post a Gianni video (Columbo + Videogames)
Dang. That hasn’t happened to me yet, but it sounds infuriating
I didn’t get this. Anyone care to explain?
I had the mirror opposite problem. Had two devices putting out toslink and an audio device with one coax and one toslink input. I bought a cheap converter and it’s perfect because I can switch between my two inputs and keep my digital signal path. From what I remember, it can convert in either direction.

Since the signal is never covered from digital to analog, it should be completely lossless.
Yes. Being $200k in medical debt and paying for your Big Mac in “4 easy payments”
I haven’t seen anyone mention that this could be a massive improvement for persons using adaptive technologies to interact with audio media. Ive personally witnessed complaints from users of hearing aids and transcription tools who get annoyed by music messing up the content they’re trying to get from a video or podcast
How about the fact that there’s a massive oligopoly in the industry? How about one studio basically steamrolling the industry with one franchise in the 2010s which alienated movie goers? How about movie-going being expensive AF?
I’ve used all but ShareX.
I would highly recommend PowerToys for Windows users. Boubd to ALT+Enter, the search tool is almost as good as Finder on Mac and skips having to open the Start menu 90% of the time. The other tools are nice-to-haves, which should just be Windows features, but they need those devs to build all the spyware.
Notepad++ is the best text editor I’ve ever used. I haven’t found a better one. I’ve tried everything else. I’ve found VSCode to be an adequate replacement, but Notepad++ is the only program I miss when I’m on Linux/Mac. I have it running in Wine on both but it’s not the same 😕
