It’s disgusting. There needs to be legal recognition of all that is at stake for patients and their families. The denial of necessary care is structural violence and should be treated as such by everyone.

Tankies follow the same underlying basis for their justifications of authoritarianism as every other stripe.

What he’s selling isn’t socialism, it’s authoritarianism. Socialist ideals are already prominent here and his apologia for brutally oppressive regimes does the opposite of fostering a less toxic or less divisive environment.

It’s an important factor to consider when thinking about the credibility of his claims. That’s what journalism is supposed to do, give people the facts. I get that discussing people’s medical history and psychological condition is a sensitive subject, but when someone’s making public claims and accusations in front of congress about delusional stuff like “non-human spacecraft” and their dead pilots that level of scrutiny is justified.
