I wonder if this was before or after the repeating crossbow was invented
Now we’re talking, how did they differ from naval ballistas?
These are all excellent points, I would counter with this: most of the things you’re describing have more to do with the tactics involved rather than the design itself. Let’s say a stirrup was used in both (the technique of reloading it standing up vs sitting down) but one side’s bows were composite, had better bolts, a cranequin, would it really be be that dissimilar to an AKM vs XM7?
I can’t believe you’ve done this
Cue the obama giving himself a medal meme but the comments are much more intelligent and there’s a much better conversation to be had
So would you not say the same for the crossbow, tinkering and standardization after the peak?
I feel responsible for your shifting focus, can we get some posts on the leveled up crossbow - the ballista?!
Just one more coup bro I promise just one more coup and it’ll fix everything bro please bro just one more coup this is the one that will work out well bro please
I think this is just a bolt action now isn’t it?
Had me dying, that’s such a good one
I will defer to your knowledge then, would you not say that aside from materials, ease of use and sighting the modern firearm hasn’t changed since the use of the cartridge?
Edit: I apologize, I misread the question and the original post. You’re right this credit is coming out of thin air and makes no sense
If the people themselves pay for the manufacture directly rather than pay for the product then you can reduce the cost to the fundamental value of the product and ignore the price increase due to the demand
If a private company pays for the manufacture and the people pay for the product there will always be a cut the middleman has to take, and they will sell at the highest price someone is willing to pay. This is the cost that people can’t pay
Everyone can afford the construction costs of a home, but can’t afford the competitive price
When their own software developers are protesting project nimbus it’s clear that it’s wrong
Once the limbs were metal and a hand crank was added how did it really change?
Hmmm you’re right, maybe Carlos isn’t who he says he is…
CEOs stay home for safety, communicate through big computer screens… my god it all makes sense
BUR DAH DAH
The crossbow also stopped developing for a very long time, until we use something other than cartridges we’re not going anywhere
There must have been other signs
