A young girl is trained by a master of martial arts to become a killer after an assassin kills her father.
I think the difference between a Bad Movie and a B-Movie is that a B-Movie is both Bad and campy. This movie is Bad, but it’s not campy. So why pay any attention to it at all?
Well, you can learn a lot from a bad movie: by seeing the bad things you appreciate better the movies that do it right. Also, you can appreciate the things that people accomplish even when they’re working on a severe budget. Finally, usually there are one or two things that go right that you can appreciate. For example, this movie has bad acting, bad action sequence, and a bad script, and yet they’re all taking it seriously; especially the lead actress, who has a good intensity, and apparently trained extensively for this (and performs several leaps, rolls, and poses very impressively). They seem to have had a very limiting budget, but did what they could by having the extras wear different masks every time. Finally, the action sound effects (like the clashing of blades) is not bad, and there’s occasionally an impressive post-hit blood splatter. So yeah, this movie is bad, but it’s not as amateurish as other no-budget films.
I agree. It’s easier to use a critical eye when you don’t like it or it’s at least noticeably bad.
