It’s all that’s needed. Social Media lives and dies by the network effect so as popular creators get forced off or choose to leave the platform the content consumers will also leave.
Beyond that very few users of any service or platform will expend the time and effort trying to install an app from alternate sources so as devices die or get reset those users will disappear. As an example back in 2013 Flappy Bird was stupid popular but once you couldn’t install it directly from a regular app store anymore it died off.
TT is 12 months from death in the United States. I hope Bluesky is ready for them.
but it would take a lot of effort, computers, money, energy, etc to constantly scan and store information for everyone, right?
You are describing PRISM and it’s been running since 2007.
When they realized how much storage it was going to take the US Government built the UDC at Camp Williams in Utah.
On the internet you can just freely say what you really think even if you know it’s unpopular.
This advice is SUPER dependent on where you live. People in the Middle East have been executed for saying the wrong thing on the Internet. People in the UK have been imprisoned for saying the wrong thing online. Criticize social policy or Government in China and its quite possible you’ll be off to prison.
Even in the good Ol’ USA there’s limits to how free your speech can be online.
The reaction over that is heavily tempered by the fact that the North Koreans are staying inside Russia. If they were in Ukraine I’m pretty sure the reaction would be much different.
Shush, this post wasn’t about U.S. politics.
I don’t need a B580 but I’m considering buying one just to show support. It’d sure be nice to have a valid budget option.
2)…wanna bet the cop was driving at a high rate of speed, in a vehicle without lights and sirens?
I wouldn’t bet against it but I’ve had the same thing happen. Buddy was driving and it was a bright sunny summer afternoon. We were doing all of 30MPH and an old lady pulled out onto the road maybe 20’ in front of us. The Samurai we were in was totaled and so was her Buick. She didn’t die but she did spend a couple of days in hospital. I bounced my head off the windshield so hard I was knocked out and I bent the passenger door out a good 4" with my right arm / elbow. My buddy was also knocked out from banging his head off the windshield even with his seatbelt on. That can happen when your vehicle is suddenly gets 18" shorter.
I’m not defending the cop but sometimes drivers just do dumb shit, especially older ones.
You know if James Lindsey tried this shotgun method with mainstream publications too he might just find holes in publishing are just everywhere?
You should check into what he did back in 2018. 😉
…sex outside of marriage, having a baby out of wedlock
Those laws were changed starting in January of 2022.
So while you did research you are trusting some no-name website with information from 2013 in regard to legal matters, matters that could result in execution if you get it wrong. As a point of fact before the law change in 2022 the so called “Age of Puberty” was 14 so what this guy did wouldn’t have been illegal based on age!
This kind of circumstance is why reasonable places in the world don’t prosecute this stuff when both parties are tourists. It can be damn difficult to know precisely what is and what isn’t in any given area.
People need to stay the hell out of Dubai.
You already know that Mommy phoned it in but after reading several articles I’m going to guess she did it because her family is Muslim. According to another article his family knew about it but didn’t care however she was hiding it from her family because they were “quite strict”.
I won’t discount racist assholes of course but you’d have to be SERIOUSLY over the top to know about this law in Dubai, let alone be willing to make an international phone call to the Dubai police about it. This smacks of religiously motivated behavior.

Here’s the biography and credentials of the primary expert: https://cass.independent-review.uk/about-the-review/the-chair/
I can understand being angry with what’s happening but I don’t believe there’s any question about that persons medical expertise and credentials.
What an idiotic take.
I don’t think so. The “woke right”, which is different than regular MAGA, is following the same oppressor / oppressed language that has gained so much traction on the other side of the political aisle. You may not agree with who the “woke right” is claiming as oppressors, or even the claim that they are oppressed, but James Lindsay just proved that the language resonates with both groups. He’s not happy about it either, hence his comments that the “woke right” is corrupting conservatism.
Time to call Epirus and get a couple of their LEONIDAS systems in there.
…which is why he was reluctant to enforce them before now.
That’s certainly part of it but the 2nd half of the article touches on the ramifications to other parts of US and Western foreign policy and relations. If the US goes full on, such as direct sanctions on buyers of Russian O&G there would be deep impacts to China and India, two countries where we are already trying to thread a foreign policy needle.
It is, unfortunately, a balancing act.
Shush, this article isn’t about US Politics.
But they never write this stuff about their allies in saudi arabia.
Who exactly is the “they” you are referring too?
Here’s the BBC from last year.
Here’s Amnesty International in September.
Here’s the AP News in March of 2022.
Your Conspiracy Theory is rejected.
So either she did and TSA didn’t care, it she didn’t and they blundered.
I haven’t found a story yet that says whether the firearm was in a checked bag or a carry-on and that really matters. If it was a carry-on then the TSA utterly failed. If it was checked baggage though then she likely followed the correct US process but took a gun to a country that didn’t allow it and Australian customs caught it as they were doing the luggage scan.
Despite what you may think it IS possible to legally take firearms to other countries assuming you follow the process and the law at your destination. For example there’s gobs of people from all over the world that fly into Colorado, Wyoming, and Alaska every fall with their hunting rifles. It’s also possible, although difficult, to bring firearms into Australia.
Ultimately the TSA would have no definitive way to know whether or not she was actually allowed to bring the pistol to Australia, all they can reasonably do is make sure that it’s stored safely and out of reach. The rest of it is on the person traveling.
It’s the year my sister was born.
