McConnell, you motherfucker, you could have stopped this. You could have had your caucus in the Senate vote to convict, and ended the nightmare. You don’t get to complain about the “very dangerous world” you helped create.

I fucking hate that this is political. It shouldn’t be. LGBTQ people exist, and depicting them in books is perfectly normal. What’s not normal is the psychotic religious freak-out in response.

I wonder what it’s like to be a genuine, true believer in the “deep state,” then to be put in charge of part of it. Suddenly, you’re getting actual, internal reports on the activities of a group of people you’ve been certain for years are Satan incarnate.

How does the conspiracy theory survive that? I mean, of course it does survive, because these people are actually insane, but how?
