I know urban people who voted for Trump. They don’t care about white supremacy, Palestine, or even Trump himself. They want lower grocery bills, lower interest on their credit cards, no taxes on overtime, and not be forced to pay child support. These are actual answers I got from work.

Lobbyists in Canada (and northren European countries as well) will always try to dismember any social privelages their citizens have. The payoff is huge and the risks for trying to do so are negligible. Also, they can just blame the immigrants (which is hilarious in the US and Canada since all of us are immigrants or descendents of immigrants).
I understand what you mean. It’s a wacky concept to me as well. It seems more of “what a person believes to be a fact” is technically not an opinion.

Read up why they got this new government. Just look up their revelation from a few decades ago. Islam isn’t the issue; this government is making a pitiful attempt at keeping foreign hands out of its business.

So, yes. Ignoring all of the problems caused by foreign interference is bigoted; as you are blaming these people’s problems on their lifestyle when the the problem is much bigger.
False facts are still facts. A fact is anything that can be proven true or false. The opposite of a fact is an opinion.

The most accurate response I can think of is many people on Lemmy want to be technically right (and I am no exception to this myself). You can see this in our many debates if the Democrats are a hindrance or the “best of the temporary solutions we have” in our debates in the best way to eventually form a working government.
The post in question (man vs bear) summarizes how much fear men have caused women throughout history in meme hyperbole fashion. Most people would “just get the point” that the meme is actually making. Women have suffered a lot from men. However, some of these Lemmy users correctly point out that its predatory behavior that should be called out; not “man vs woman”. After all, anyone regardless of age, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc. can be a predator. The meme is correct but those who oppose the meme are “technically correct” as well.
Trump says so many things, I don’t think even he can keep up with the things coming out of his mouth.
